Waiting for the light to come forward, Leigh takes a deep breath, and while holding Johns hand, calls in the Light. John and Leigh announce that they are the pastors for the wedding. John goes back and forth between pastor and groom. Leigh giggles and shines her radiating smile throughout time.
John talks about the poem by Kahlil Gibran “Speak to us of marriage”. He remembered the phrase about “Not growing in one another’s shadows.” I flash back to Leigh’s journal entry where she asked for a man that would support her in flying.
Leigh shares a dream where John offered his hand as they walked along a beautiful path. Birds were tweeting and singing. The walk was glorious. Then all of a sudden there was an immense mountain. John turned to Leigh and said, “Are you ready.” Leigh said, “I am ready.” They began running together up the mountain. John said the dream speaks of Leigh’s willingness.
Both begin the exchange of rings and candid wedding vows. John shares in a spontaneous string of loving words. He gives his gratitude for Leigh and God having sent her, bringing forth his deepest resolution.
